What Is A Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a rejuvenation treatment that uses a safe combination of chemicals to exfoliate damaged skin. Chemical peels can be used to address lines and wrinkles, improve skin tone and texture, and even fight acne. At NUSCULPT, we offer one of the most popular chemical peels available, the ZO® Ossential Stimulator Peel.

What is the ZO® Ossential Stimulator Peel?

The ZO® Ossential Stimulator Peel is a quick and easy chemical peel treatment composed of three different acids: salicylic acid, lactic acid, and citric acid. These acids simultaneously dissolve dead skin cells and increase skin moisture. Salicylic acid helps fight oily, acne-prone skin. The citric acid helps give the skin a healthy glow after treatment. As a result, patients can enjoy a comprehensive and refreshing chemical peel treatment that leaves their skin healthy and glowing.

How is a Chemical Peel Performed?

A chemical peel begins with washing the face to prepare it for treatment. Then, the chemical peel solution will be applied to the skin. At this point, the patient can relax while the solution begins to dissolve the damaged skin. This process takes less than an hour, but the exact duration of this step will depend on the patients desired results. After the allotted time has passed, the chemical solution will be rinsed off of the face, with results already visible.

Is There Any Downtime After a Chemical Peel?

Most chemical peels leave the skin red and dry, causing patients some discomfort after treatment. With the ZO® Ossential Stimulator Peel, there is no peeling, redness, or downtime after treatment. This is why this chemical peel is so popular; patients can enjoy radiant healthy skin immediately after their appointment.

When Will I Notice Results From My Chemical Peel?

The results from your ZO® Ossential Stimulator Peel will be visible immediately after treatment. However, to achieve the full benefits of this peel, we may recommend a series of three to four treatments. Patients typically notice results after their first treatment, so the number of treatments required will depend on the cosmetic results desired.

How Much Does a Chemical Peel Cost?

The cost of your chemical peel will depend on the number of treatments necessary to deliver your desired results. When you come in for your initial consultation, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that includes the exact cost of your treatment. As a cosmetic procedure, chemical peels are not covered by insurance providers. In order to keep this and other treatments affordable to our patients, we offer financing through CareCredit® and accept all major credit cards.
