Am I a Good Candidate?
Optimal candidates for Kybella® are over age 18, do not have any infections or other health issues in the treatment region, and are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding. Patients taking anti-inflammatory drugs must speak with their doctor before coming in for a Kybella treatment. Non-smokers are preferred, since smoking negatively affects tissue health.
What is a Kybella® Treatment Like?
The first step in your Kybella® double-chin-reduction treatment is applying a topical anesthetic to the treatment area. This numbs the skin to ensure that the injection is as painless as possible.
After this, a number of Kybella® injections will be performed in the neck and chin area. This process takes only a few minutes, so the full Kybella® treatment is completed in less than half an hour.
