What Is Xeomin®?
Xeomin® is an injectable treatment designed to reduce the appearance of frown lines by relaxing wrinkle-causing muscles. The Xeomin® injection targets these muscles, temporarily blocking nerve signals that causes them to contract. Without these muscle contractions, the appearance of frown lines is greatly reduced. This can also help prevent these frown lines from worsening, which is otherwise inevitable over time. Xeomin® is a little different from other injectable treatments like Botox® and Dysport® because it has a highly purified formula, which does not contain any of the inactive ingredients commonly found in other injectables.

What is a Xeomin® Treatment Like?
A number of Xeomin® injections will be performed in the desired treatment area(s). This process is virtually painless and takes only a few minutes, so the full Xeomin® treatment is completed in less than half an hour.
Is There Any Downtime After Xeomin®?
Xeomin® and many other injectables are popular cosmetic treatments because they require absolutely no downtime. Patients are able to return to work and other normal activities immediately after their appointment, making Xeomin® a great “lunchtime” procedure.
How Does Xeomin® Work?
Xeomin® works by weakening the facial expression muscles that attach to the skin’s surface. The visible creases straighten out as the strain of these muscles on the skin is weakened. As the skin remodels without the negative influence of the wrinkle-causing facial muscles, cumulative advantages are noticed over time.
What Kind of Results Can I Expect from Xeomin®?
After your Xeomin® treatment, you will notice results within three to four days days. During this time, you may experience mild redness or bruising in the treatment area from the injections, which will fade within a few days. Most patients notice the full results from their Xeomin® about one month after their appointment, with results lasting about three months. After this time, patients can easily receive further treatment to maintain their results.
After your Xeomin® treatment, you can leave our clinic and resume your normal activities; however, you should avoid intense activity for at least one day. To speed recuperation and outcomes, we recommend sleeping in a slightly raised position and applying cold compresses as needed. You may notice some bruising, swelling, or redness near the treated areas for a few days after a Xeomin® injection, but this should go away on its own and can be easily disguised with makeup. What is the Difference Between Xeomin®, Botox® & Dysport®?
On a molecular level, Xeomin® differs from Botox® and Dysport® because it is packaged without any protein additions. This has the potential to help a small number of patients who have ceased responding to Botox® treatments due to the development of antibodies against the proteins.
How Much Does Xeomin® Cost?
The cost of your Xeomin® treatment will depend on the number of injections necessary to deliver your desired results. When you come in for your initial consultation, we will develop a personalized treatment plan that includes the exact cost of your treatment. As a cosmetic procedure, Xeomin® is not covered by insurance providers. In order to keep this and other treatments affordable to our patients, we offer financing through CareCredit® and accept all major credit cards.
